LOCKERS of LOVE
LOCKERS of LOVE
Struggling to keep your stuff safe while navigating displacement? We get it — storage is hard to come by. That’s why we’re excited to offer lockers for your personal use. Store your things while you take care of appointments, apply for employment, or seek other services. We assign lockers on a first come, first served basis and provide a brand-new lock and keys for security and privacy.* With unrestricted access to your items, we ask that you visit at least once per week and let us know if you no longer need your locker so we can help another neighbor. ♡
FAQs
Is there a fee for using the lockers?
We not only provide the lockers free of charge, but we also provide you with a free lock and keys. Please be mindful of where you store your keys and refrain from loaning them to anyone as we are not responsible for theft or loss. We are happy to assist you with lock-cutting if you’ve misplaced your key. Replacement locks are provided on a case-by-case basis.
Will my locker contents be subject to inspections or disposal?
The short answer is no. Everything we offer is centered around the concepts of aloha and mālama — love, kindness, respect, and care for others + the Earth. We respect your privacy and no one will enter your locker for any reason except if legally required or 30 consecutive days have elapsed since you’ve accessed it at which point, your locker is considered abandoned.
What happens to abandoned lockers?
In cases of abandonment, should there be a waiting list for lockers, we will thoughtfully package and store items for an additional 60 days (longer if we do hear from you and you let us know you need more time to retrieve your things). We may also be able to ship your locker contents to you, provided there are no USPS-prohibited contents (liquids, fragile or perishable items, or potentially hazardous materials). Please contact us asap if you have trouble accessing your locker.
How do I request a locker?
Submit your request via email by contacting us. We collect basic information (name, phone number, and emergency contact) and require a standard release of liability before assignment. We will never share your information without specific, explicit permission.
May I pass my locker along to someone I know?
Please let us know if you no longer need your locker because someone may be waiting to use it. If you know someone in need, please have them contact us directly as we will expand our locker footprint in response to demand ♡
